Soft and Chewy Snickerdoodle Bars Recipe

Ingredients

COOKIE BARS
1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
2 cups brown sugar (packed)
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 2/3 cups all purpose flour

TOPPING
1/8 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. In a mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, vanilla, and salt, and mix well.
  3. Add the baking powder and flour, a little at a time, and mix until incorporated. Spread into a greased 9×13″ pan.
  4. Mix together sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over cookie dough. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the pan comes out with fudgy crumbs. Do not over bake.
  5. Let cool before cutting. Store tightly covered.
